BIKE-Arlington Tour planned for Sunday, May 20
The annual BIKE-Arlington Tour is scheduled for Sunday morning, May 20, 2012. This easy-paced bicycle tour around town is organized by the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee (ABAC) in local celebration of National Bicycle Month.
The family-friendly bike tour will travel on both the Minuteman Bikeway and local roadways, including informational stops along the way. This year's BIKE-Arlington Tour will feature Safe Routes to School (with stops at Thompson and Hardy Schools) as well as the Alewife Brook Greenway path, which is nearly completed in East Arlington. The bike tour is FREE. Bicycle helmets are required, and all participants will be responsible for their own safety. Bring something to drink. Meet on Sunday, May 20, at 9:30 a.m. in Arlington Center, behind the Jefferson Cutter House in the large municipal parking lot (northeast corner of Mass Ave and Mystic St). The tour will end before noontime. Steady rain will cancel the bike tour.
