Commission Business, cont.
There was a report by the neighbors of a coyote at McClennan Park and the DPW mowed the herbaceous wildflower planted areas to reduce the amount of refuge habitat for them. Arlington birders were concerned that this had reduced the habitat for birds considerably. Ms. Beckwith inspected the mowing on 9/27, and the issue appears to have been resolved. Kevin O’Brien will hold a meeting with residents, park maintenance crew, and the bird group to coordinate this mowing schedule in the future, to possibly later in the season.
The Cookes Hollow capital budget appropriation was removed from the budget. We will work to reinstate this item. Ms. Beckwith would fill out the paperwork.
Ms. Garnett and Ms. Hodges drafted Enforcement procedures and reviewed these with the Commission.
The Commission voted to convene at approximately 8:50 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Corinna Beckwith
Administrator
