During the spring, D. W. White, contractor for Mass Highway on the Summer Street project, will be performing the following work:
1. Final planting on the Forest Street Island and Brattle Street Island. Installation of park benches on Forest Street Island.
2. Continue planting trees and shrubs along project.
3. Install sign posts and signs.
4. Loam and seed yards
Replacement of telephone poles is ongoing and being performed by Verizon. Following the replacement of all the poles, Nstar will move the wires from the existing poles to the new ones.
Residents and commuters are reminded that detours will continue and may change depending on the work area. Access to residences, as well as businesses and the skating rink, will be allowed at all times.
