Office Hours:  October 2 - May 1, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
June 1 – October 1:  hours 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Attention all Visitors of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, please note:

This notice is to inform all visitors that on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, the cemetery workers will begin removing all holiday decorations and plants from the graves.  This includes all wreaths or sprays of natural evergreens.  Please be advised that this policy is set by the Cemetery Commissioners and that the Rules and Regulations state that these decorations should be removed as early as 10 days after the holiday.

Urn Graves are approximately 3’ x 3’. Flat markers only can be used, standard size, 2-0 x 1-0 x 4 below. These areas can be used for as many as 4 cremations, but only one stone is allowed. If a government marker is placed on the site, no other marker is allowed.

Disinterments are allowed only after a release is signed. When disinterment involves the removal of a concrete or metal container, the Funeral Director must also engage a vault company for the disinterment. Board of Health laws prohibits removals between May 15th and October 15th.
