Discoloration in water expected in Washington Street Area Starting March 16

The water department will be opening water valves along Washington St. between Summer and Forest Streets over the next 2 weeks beginning March 16. This work is being done in preparation of a planned water main replacement project scheduled for this spring/summer on Washington St. residents in the area should be aware that discoloration in the water is not harmful, but should let the water run until clear.
