The Forest Street Project is continuing to move forward. Work is scheduled this week to connect to the water main located on Brand Street on Wednesday September 21, 2011 and on Hancock Street on Thursday September 21, 2011. This work will require a temporary water shutdown for Brand Street and Hancock Street. These shutdowns will be separate and occur on consecutive days. You can view the water notices below.
After the water service is shutdown you may experience rusty water when it is turned back on. This is not an unsafe condition and is expected in most cases. If your water becomes rusty, run your cold water faucet in the basement or lower level of your house until the water runs clear. If you experience on-going issues with rusty water and/or low water pressure, please call the Water Division at 781-316-3301.
