Rise and shine with the Menotomy Minute Men! Join the Minute Men in honoring the men who lost their lives on April 19, 1775. The tribute starts at the Town Hall flagpole at 7:00 am. Visit the Minute Men’s website at http://www.menotomy.org/home
9:30 a.m. Patriots Day Parade
Road Closures and Parking Restrictions
To allow for staging the parade, starting at 7:00 a.m. in Arlington Heights, Mass. Ave. between Park Ave. and Forest St. and Lowell St. between Mass. Ave. and Downing Square will be closed. There will be parking restrictions along the parade route. Also feeder streets will have limited access during this time. Please plan your travel plans accordingly and walk to the parade if you can. 11:30 a.m. Join the Menotomy Welcoming Committee at Town Hall.
Pack a picnic lunch and eat on the lawn. Enjoy family activities, music by Diane Taraz, and light refreshments while we wait for Lancer re-enactors Paul Revere and William Dawes. The first group of riders arrive at the Arlington/Cambridge Town line at 11:30 a.m., arriving at the Town Hall at 11:45 a.m. The second group of horses should be arriving from West Medford Arlington Line (A block up from Town Hall Rt.60) 11:50 a.m. National Lancers website.
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Jason Russell House Tours
Visit the site of the fierce fighting on the first day of the American Revolution. The Jason Russell House, 7 Jason Street, will be open for tours from 11 am to 2 pm. Admission: adults $5; children $2. Visit arlingtonhistorical.org.
