Mission: To provide aid and assistance to over 1,700 Arlington veterans (their spouses, widows, and dependents) with financial needs through the Massachusetts Department of Veterans' Services. Proper documentation and a simple means test will determine eligibility. Also, to act as a liaison with The Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA) regarding benefits and furnishing applications and advice. Residents of Arlington received approximately 3.7 million dollars in benefits from the DVS and DVA in the year 2003. Coordinate memorial services, parades, and dedications honoring veterans. Maintain The Veterans' Honor Roll and The Veterans' Graves Registration List.
