MINUTES
Wednesday, January 11, 2006

Mary Deyst, Chair; Jack Bowler, Donna Dolan, Elaine Shea, Cindy Sheridan, Gene Lucarelli, Larry Greco, Patsy Kraemer, ex officio; Dave McKenna, ex officio; Elizabeth Oppedisano, ex officio.

Absent:  Jeannette Mills, Dorothy Williams, Joan Robbio, Carlene Newell

The Board meeting convened at 6:00 pm.  Minutes of the November 30, 2005, meeting were unanimously approved.

First Step Program – Elaine Shea gave the report on new furniture received and on the Christmas Party, 2005.  Patsy Kraemer gave report on Holiday Help Program for 2005, and thank-you letter sent out.

Alcohol & Drug Education – Elizabeth Oppedisano gave report on the Red Ribbon Program and Campaign.  Lettery by Principa Charles Skidmore on SADD Day at Arlington High School – date to be determined.  $1400 Mass. Medical Grant (Smoke Grant) received.

Fuel Emergency Assistance Program – Jack Bowler reported that $55,000 has been raised thus far.

Motion made by Larry Greco to increase fuel assistance from $200 to $400 per tank of oil for one year.  The members present unanimously approved motion.

New Business – Expand student intake program to 16 – (work in progress)  Pilot program at the Brackett has been successful.

Yellow Dress Program at Arlington High School is scheduled for January 30, 2006.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm.  Next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at 7:00 pm.
