I. Minutes of October 24, 2000 meeting accepted as written.
II. Christine Connolly presented the results of the latest tobacco compliance check. Seven merchants sold cigarettes to a minor during this check. Of the seven, Walgreen’s at 324 Massachusetts Avenue was the only repeat offender for this calendar year. Mr. Mark Quimby, store manager, submitted a copy of the company policy regarding the sale of tobacco products. The Board voted unanimously to suspend Walgreen’s permit to sell tobacco products for fourteen days.
III. Marie Walsh reported that a flu vaccine clinic was held on Saturday, November 18, 2000 for residents age 65-75. Another clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, 2000 for ages 65 and over.
IV. Ms. Walsh presented the state model regulations for body art establishments. Until regulations are adopted, Ms. Walsh will request that no permits for body art establishments be issued. A public hearing to adopt regulations will be scheduled in the next few months.
