The petitioner Dr. Chantal Nouvellon and Attorney Joseph Fahey presented the petition to the board – a petition seeking permission to conduct a doctor’s office from the above dwelling nine hours/week. The board voiced concerns with regard to parking, employees handicapped accessability and traffic safety.
Among those in attendance who spoke against the petition were Brian Canniff(7 Hathaway Cir) who submitted a petition signed by 67 people opposed to the Special Permit request and an aerial view of the property, Lisa Conroy (5 Hathaway Cir),Donald Cassidy (272 Florence Ave), Kathy Bowler (9 Hathaway Cir), Dino Livolsi (Hathaway Cir), Louise Silver (271 Florence Ave), Michael Cain (283 Florence Ave).
Chairman Tulimeiri concluded that further investigation of the situation would be required by the police and fire departments who would be notified as well as the Town Manager. The petitioner was told to cease and desist conducting all business related activities from her residence immediately. Those attending were advised that public notice in the Arlington Advocate would be given regarding a continuance date.
