Docket No. 3426, Arlington Center for the Arts, of 41 Foster Street, Arlington, Massachusetts is seeking a Special Permit to paint a mural on the north - facing side of the office/condominium building at 12 Brattle Terrace, under Section 7.00, Paragraph 7.09 Special Permit Paragraph 1 of the Zoning Bylaw for the Town of Arlington. A representative from the Arlington Department of Planning and Development presented the case. After Discusion and Q & A from the board, the petitioner requested a continuance until June 14, 2011 and it was granted.
Docket No. 3427, James Warter, of 11 Hillcrest Street, Arlington, Massachusetts is seeking a Special Permit to construct a large addition at 11 Hillcrest Street, under Section 6.08 (Large additions in a residential neighborhood) of the Zoning Bylaw for the Town of Arlington. James Warter and Erica Kates presented the case. After Discusion and Q & A from the board, Francis Johnson, of 15 Hillcrest Street spoke in favor of granting the request. There was no opposition. The Board then voted unaminously to grant the request with the following conditions:
1) All construction to be in accordance with the applicable regulations and with the pre-construction plans as submitted.
2) Since the additional building coverage will exceed 350 s.f., the Petitioner is notified that review by the Town Engineer as required by the Town Bylaw, Title V, Article 15, Storm Water Mitigation, is required.
3)The hours of construction shall be in accordance with all regulations.
4) The rights granted herein shall be executed within one (1) year of the dtae of this decision.
Docket #3419 was continued until June 14, 2011.
