The Town of Arlington would like to thank everyone who participated in the Community Collection Day last Saturday. A special thank you to the Arlington Recycling Committee for volunteering their time and to the Arlington High School SAVE CLUB. Students from the SAVE CLUB collected over 5,700 returnable bottles and cans. Proceeds will be donated to either Sustainable Harvest International or to Heifer International. Bikes not Bombs collected 48 bicycles that will be repaired, as needed, and shipped overseas. The Board of Health had an excellent response at the medical waste and syringe collection. CRT and TV collection was substantial with 531 CRT/TVs dropped off
or collected curbside.
Please help us continue the success of these recycling events and join us for the next Community Collection on America Recycles Day, November 15th and don’t forget tell your neighbors.
