Arl. Ctr. Safe Travel Project Plan Approved

At their March 12 meeting, the Board of Selectmen approved a plan to improve safety for all travelers at the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Route 60 (Arlington Center Safe Travel Project). The project addresses many challenges posed by multiple traffic users (pedestrian, cyclists, and drivers) at this busy intersection. Highlights of the approved plan to improve safety include: curb extensions, signal timing improvements, and bike lanes on Mass. Ave. between Swan Place and Route 60. The Town received a commitment of funding from MassDOT for $290,000 toward this project.
