Spy Pond Sediment Removal Open House

This meeting is open to the public to learn more about the Spy Pond Sediment Removal project. All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible by MassDOT, the project coordinator. This project has already been approved by the Arlington Conservation Commission under the Wetlands Protection Act and the Arlington Wetlands Protection Bylaw.

The proposed project consists of improving water quality and removing accumulated sediment in the southwest corner of Spy Pond. The sediment has been deposited from an existing 54-inch drainage outfall owned and operated by MassDOT. Removal of the accumulated sediment will restore the habitat and recreational opportunities in that area of Spy Pond. The project will not require work on private property. Any questions or comments on the Open House can be obtained by contacting: Bryan Cordeiro MassDOT- Highway Division 10 Park Plaza, Suite 4260 Boston, MA 02116, 857-368-8813,
