Big WeedOut Day

  • Date: 05/07/2022  (all day)
  • Introduction: Learn removal techniques you can use at home

Invasive weeds are a big threat to Arlington's biodiversity. Join one of several Arlington MA Invasives "ArMI" weedouts on May 7 and learn how to safely and effectively remove garlic mustard among other invasive weeds. Bring water, wear work gloves, protection from the sun, sharp twigs, and insects, and bring a large black garbage bag and hand tools if you have them: hand trowel, hand rake, clippers. Loppers and shovels *might* be useful for certain associated invasives (oriental bittersweet vines, English ivy). And for your reading pleasure .. Here's a clear guide to garlic mustard removal prepared by the Ontario Canada Invasives

Meeting places will be posted soon. Download, sign, and bring this waiver to participate.
