The Friends of the Crusher Lot is organizing a Spring Clean-up on Saturday, April 27, 2-4PM (rain date Sunday, April 28, 2-4PM). Meet at the clearing in the middle of the woods. Adults and children are welcome to help clean-up the woods for the greener days on the way. Arlington MA Invasives (ArMI) members will demonstrate how to recognize and remove invasive plants.
Bring gloves and wear sturdy shoes or boots. A hand trowel or large screwdriver is useful for digging things out of the soil, and a bucket is handy for collecting broken glass and small trash. For invasive pulling, bring clippers, gardening gloves, and a weeding tool for loosening roots. The Friends will provide a trash barrel, hand sanitizer, and a small first-aid kit. Bring and apply tick repellent and/or wear protective clothing as a precaution. Ticks are found year-round.
