Arlington Center Sidewalk Project
The Town is beginning a project to replace sidewalk surfaces in the center of Town between Pleasant Street and Franklin Street along Massachusetts Ave and Broadway. The Project has been awarded to D'Allessandro Corp. Work will include the replacement of brick walks with ADA compliant surfaces as well as the construction of ADA compliant crosswalks and ramps. Mobilization and project prep work began last week. Work that week will be installation of signage, fencing off material storage areas, and work on the street to saw cut pavement in preparation of construction work the following week.

Sidewalk constriction activities continue around 297 Broadway, on the west side of Medford Street, the opposite section on Broadway and Alton, the east side of Medford Street, the opposite side of 297 Broadway, the opposite side of Franklin Street, and the sidewalk along mass ave and memorial park (see map below). Work will include the removal and disposal of existing walks. Business and project abutters will be provided several days notice prior the work beginning adjacent to their properties and we will update the project area accordingly. The project map will be updated as the work progresses. Please check back.

The project is expected to take approximately 10 weeks.
