The Foot of the Rocks Battlefield is located at intersection of Mass Ave. and Lowell St. The goal of this Community Preservation Act funded project is to consider ways to improve this parcel while expanding recognition of Arlington's importance in the crucial battle that took place on the site on April 19, 1775.

April 24, 2025 Update  
On April 17th the Town held a ground-breaking for the project, which commenced construction the week of April 22nd, after the Patriots’ Day weekend. The Town’s construction contractor, Belko, is conducting the work, which is anticipated to be completed in the 2025 construction season. This phase of the project will prepare the site for the installation of informational, educational and interpretive signage during a future phase.

At this third public input session, Landscape Architect Ray Dunetz will present designs to date based on previous feedback and seek additional feedback. Add to your iCalendar. 

Past Public Input Sessions
Public input sessions were held on April 14 and June 2, 2022. These meetings provided historical context, existing conditions, timelines, and concepts for the site in addition to gathering public input. The June 2nd meeting incorporated feedback from a public survey conducted in May.
