Tough Stuff Recycling is now available to collect mattresses and box springs for recycling. The cost of recycling a mattress by curbside collection is the same as the cost for dropping it off, $45. Both options require an appointment.

Curbside mattress recycling collection takes place on Thursdays. Residents can visit Tough Stuff Recycling to pay and request an appointment. They will then receive a confirmation email with the Thursday collection date next available. Payments made online are by credit card.

Drop off mattress recycling is available to Arlington residents only. Please call the Reuse & Recycling Center to make an appointment for weekday or occasional weekend day drop off: 781-316-3108. If you drop off your mattress, we accept cash or checks only (payable to Town of Arlington) at the time of drop off. Drop off is local.

Residents are also able to drop off Mattresses at the Tough Stuff Recycling warehouse in Fitchburg, MA for a $30 fee.
