New Accessible Beach Wheelchairs Available at Arlington Reservoir Beach

Town installs two MobiChairs in time for Res opening.

Arlington’s Recreation Department in partnership with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division (DEI) secured funding through the Disability Commission’s budget for two floating beach wheelchairs at Reservoir Beach. These accessible chairs arrived in early June and have since been installed. The DEI division and Recreation Department would like to thank the Disability Commission for assisting with funding for this project.

Durable beach chair
The aluminum frame and stainless-steel parts are corrosion free from salt water. The floatable wheels and armrests provide an unprecedented experience due to their stable buoyant design. The Mobi-Chair® Floating Beach Wheelchair is suitable for use at the beach and in swimming pools.
