The Town of Arlington’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year 2026-2027 Application will be released on Friday, November 21st. The Department of Planning and Community Development invites applications for projects including affordable housing, economic development, parks, public facilities, & infrastructure, public services from eligible applicants. The funding period for this grant is July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.
On November 21st, the application and guidelines will be available at arlingtonma.gov/CDBG. Completed applications with required documentation must be submitted to mmuszynski@town.arlington.ma.us or dropped off at the Department of Planning and Community Development in the Town Hall Annex by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026.
The CDBG Program was created in 1974 as part of Title I of the HCD ACT of 1974, as amended, and is run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. CDBG provides annual grants on a formula basis to states, cities, and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for people earning a low or moderate income.
