The Arlington Recreation Department is hiring and invites interested parties to apply for Afterschool positions. All positions involve working with children in grades K-5 and require applicants to be at least 16-18 years old depending on the role. 

Group Leaders work up to 18 hours per week with available hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday 12:30-6:00 p.m. These staff lead activities including arts and crafts, sports games, outdoor play, board games, and homework assistance at the program's Irving Street location, with starting pay at $23.12 per hour. Must be 18+.  

Assistant Group Leaders work up to 18 hours per week with available hours Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00 PM at the program’s Irving Street location, with starting pay at $20.81 per hour. Must be 16+.  

Pick-up Monitors help supervise children during dismissal times, with hours Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 2:00-3:00 p.m., Wed 12:30-1:30 p.m. This position starts at $25 per hour and requires staff to assist with attendance, provide active supervision, and help children board buses safely. Located at various Arlington elementary schools. Must be 18+.
