Arlington Town Day volunteers would like to thank everyone who helped make Town Day 2025 a great success. Arlington Police estimated there were several thousand attendees, who enjoyed sunny skies for this popular annual event.
“We’re thrilled that so many attended and engaged with the many booths, activities, and events planned during the day,” said Len Diggins, Arlington Select Board Vice-chair and Town Day volunteer. “I’m glad this year everyone was rewarded with picture-perfect weather and grateful to everyone involved with putting on this wonderful annual event, ACMi for covering it, and special nod to the Select Board staff for organizing the event.”
Held on Saturday, September 20th, along Mass. Ave between Mill/Jason Streets and Pleasant St/Route 60, Town Day presented a wide variety of activities, such as pony rides, remote-controlled race cars, public safety demonstrations, and more. Over 200 booths were on display ranging from local organizations and businesses to artisans and crafts, and a variety of food options. View a full list.
“It's a herculean effort to put on this popular event. It requires coordination from so many in the community,” said Jim Feeney, Arlington Town Manager. “I would like to thank our Public Works, Police, and Fire departments for their efforts in setting up the event and keeping things running smoothly so everyone has a fun and safe time.
Earlier in the day the Walter V. Moynihan Town Day Three Mile Run was held at the Arlington Reservoir. Arlington Recreation Director, Natasha Waden reported 150 registered runners participated.
Later in the day, a fireworks display over Spy Pond wowed an estimated 3,000 spectators.
Organizers are already starting to plan next year’s festivities. When they determine the date it will be posted at arlingtonma.gov/townday.
