This Decision concerns Site Plan Review, Docket #3883, for HCA 840-846 MA Ave LLC (wholly owned by Housing Corporation of Arlington), 252 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington, MA, for the property located at 840-846 Massachusetts Ave. (in the R6 Apartments Medium Density District and the Mass Ave/Broadway Multi-Family Housing (MBMF) Overlay District) and 17 Newman Way (in the R2 Residential Two-Family District and the Neighborhood Multi-Family Housing (NMF) Overlay District) to (1) construct a new six-story building (Building 1) with 28 rental units deed-restricted for households earning up to 60% of the area median income (AMI) and one commercial unit with 3,375 square feet on the northeast corner lawn at 840 Mass Ave., and (2) demolish an existing two-family dwelling at 17 Newman Way, and (3) construct a new three-story building (Building 2) with 12 rental units deed-restricted for households earning up to 60% AMI at 17 Newman Way.
