Notice is herewith given that an application has been filed on December 15, 2025, by HCA 840-846 MA Ave LLC (wholly owned by Housing Corporation of Arlington), 252 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA, to open Docket #3883 in accordance with the provisions of the Town of Arlington Zoning Bylaw Section 5.8.3, Site Plan Review. The site consists of two apartment buildings with a total of 57 residential units and one two-family dwelling. The applicant proposes to preserve the two apartment buildings and construct a new six-story building with 28 affordable residential units and one commercial unit at 840 Mass Ave, and demolish the two-family dwelling to construct a three-story building with 12 affordable residential units at 17 Newman Way, for a total of 97 residential units and one commercial unit on the properties located at 840-846 Mass Ave, in the R6 Apartments Medium Density District and Mass Ave/Broadway Multi-Family Housing Overlay District, and 17 Newman Way, Arlington, MA, located in the R2 Two-Family District and the Neighborhood Multi-Family Housing Overlay District.

A Public Hearing was opened on January 26, 2026, continued to February 2, 2026, and to Monday, March 9, 2026, at 7:00 pm, Arlington Community Center, Main Hall, 27 Maple Street, Arlington, Massachusetts.
