About Town Meeting Member Email List

This is a non-discussion list. The purpose of the list is to disseminate materials to Town Meeting Members about Town Meeting Warrant Articles only (substitute motions, presentations, etc.) in advance of debate and voting so all members can be well prepared.  Although materials submitted to this list are restricted to members and Town Officials, the public is welcome to subscribe and receive these materials.

[TMM] From the Moderator - volunteers needed to assist with information gathering effort

Dear Town Meeting Member,

I write to ask if you would like to volunteer to help with a pilot project to make information about warrant articles available sooner than the referring bodies’ formal reports.

This effort responds to requests from Town Meeting Members for more and earlier information about items in the warrant.

As you may know, the Select Board, Redevelopment Board, and Finance Committee develop public information during the course of their hearings and deliberations on warrant articles and motions. For example, Town Counsel provides memos to the Select Board with context and advice about each warrant article the Board reviews.

We would like to consolidate links to this information into a single online resource and make it more available to Town Meeting Members and others. To do so, we need volunteers who will monitor the agendas and related materials of these boards. The work will include interacting with a shared online document and entering  information and links to the resources identified. Work would begin shortly after the warrant for the 2026 Annual Town Meeting is published in mid-February.
