About Town Meeting Member Email List

This is a non-discussion list. The purpose of the list is to disseminate materials to Town Meeting Members about Town Meeting Warrant Articles only (substitute motions, presentations, etc.) in advance of debate and voting so all members can be well prepared.  Although materials submitted to this list are restricted to members and Town Officials, the public is welcome to subscribe and receive these materials.

[TMM] From the Moderator: Early information about warrant articles from the reporting bodies; Town Meeting Procedures Committee Meeting March 12 Warrant Article Information

1. Warrant Article Information

This year, you will be able to view information about warrant articles before final recommendations are published. This effort is piloted by the Town Meeting Procedures Committee with the help of the Town Clerk and community volunteers.

Why we're doing this:  Some Town Meeting members asked for more information, sooner. Final reports aren't available until shortly before Town Meeting, but many articles benefit from early review. This pilot addresses that need.

What you'll find: 
Deliberations on warrant articles by the Select Board, Redevelopment Board, and Finance Committee generate useful materials. Volunteers are collecting and organizing these materials as they become available. When you open the documents you'll find links to:
- Meeting agendas with supporting documents, e.g., Town Counsel memos to the Select Board with context and legal advice. (Note, supporting documents may be added after an agenda is posted.)
- Meeting minutes
- Video recordings of meetings

These linked pages are live now on the Town Meeting page of the website and will be updated regularly. When the annotated warrant goes live, the links will be available by article in the annotated warrant itself.

2. Town Meeting Procedures Committee meeting 
The Town Meeting Procedures Committee is holding a hearing at their meeting on Thursday, March 12, 8-10 pm. Information about the meeting including the agenda, meeting materials, and a registration link to join the hybrid meeting can be found on the Town calendar.
