Save the date for Patriots’ Day Weekend, April 18–20, 2026, commemorating Arlington’s pivotal role in the events of April 19, 1775. Formerly known as Menotomy, Arlington was the site of some of the fiercest fighting on the opening day of the American Revolution. This year’s Patriots’ Day Weekend marks the third year of the Town’s multiyear initiative, “Arlington 250: The Untold Stories of Menotomy,” which highlights Arlington’s historic contributions while elevating stories of historically underrepresented communities. The 2026 celebration aligns with statewide and national commemorations including Revolution 250 and America 250.

Patriots’ Day Weekend offers a diverse lineup of free and family-friendly events, including:

Menotomy Beer Hall (Saturday, April 18, Noon–6 PM, Arlington Town Hall)
A lively indoor gathering featuring craft beer from Arlington Brewing Company, live music, games, and family activities.

Family Day at the Jason Russell House (Sunday, April 19, 11 AM–2 PM)
A collaborative outdoor event hosted by the Arlington Historical Society, Cyrus Dallin Art Museum, and Old Schwamb Mill with hands-on activities for all ages.
Additional weekend offerings include open hours at the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum and special public art exhibitions exploring Arlington’s artistic and historical legacy.
A Community-Wide Commemoration
The Arlington 250 Committee brings together representatives from Town leadership, cultural institutions, historical organizations, and community groups to coordinate Arlington’s participation in the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
