The Select Board invites applications for the two new licenses during the period of August 31st until September 11th. This is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and established operators to serve our vibrant community. 

All completed Section 15 Non-Premise alcohol applications can be submitted, in full, to the Office of the Select Board, on the second floor of Town Hall. All applications received during the application period will be placed on public hearing scheduled for September 28, 2026.  

Via a ballot questions, Arlington’s voters approved adding two new Section 15 non-premise alcohol (“package store”) licenses on March 28, 2026, bringing the total number of package store licenses to 8. At their April 13, 2026 meeting, the Select Board voted to create a process for inviting and reviewing applications for the two available licenses.  

How to Apply: 

Section 15 alcohol applications can be downloaded from the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission’s website but then submitted in full and in-person to the Office of the Select Board on the second floor of Arlington Town Hall.
