Perhaps you are among those residents who are tired of over stuffing your curbside recycling bin. If you're ready for an upgrade, the Recycling Committee has just the resource for you. In September 2017, Recycling Committee co-chair Paul Goldberg visited our two local hardware stores, Shattuck and Wanamaker, to find out what equipment they have for sale. The results are here in this new resource page.
If you're not quite ready to upgrade, please remember to mark you recycling container well, so it can be spotted easily for collection. If it's not blue, please stop by DPW or Town Hall to pick up a free RECYCLING bumper sticker to put on your barrel or crate.
Our local stores carry equipment in sizes that fit the needs of most households. Please do not purchase new recycling equipment that is over 64 gallons, as it can get too heavy to lift and your recycling may be therefore rejected at the curb. Extra recycling every now and then can be placed in a cardboard box, as there is no limit to the amount of curbside recycling you can place out every week. Remember to never place curbside recycling in plastic bags, as it will not be collected.

Thanks for supporting our local businesses!
