Bag or Compost Your Grass!
Post Date:06/27/2019 4:31 PM
Did you know that when you cut your grass, the clippings decay and release nutrients? These nutrients can be bagged for off-site composting, or even composted at home to aid in your yard maintenance. However, when not bagged, the clippings often blow into the Town's street and the nutrients released are collected and directed to local water bodies by rainwater. These nutrients diminish the water quality of our local water bodies. So do you part and please consider bagging or composting your grass clippings. For further stormwater information, please refer to the Stormwater Information section of the Town's webpage.Return to full list >>
