Due to concerns from the coronavirus (COVID-19), the working group's March 26 meeting is cancelled. Review the most recent communications from the Town regarding the response to COVID-19.
In the fall 2019, the Town released a Request for Proposals (RFP) to complete Residential Design Guidelines and recommend a process through which the Town can apply these guidelines. The Residential Design Guidelines would be applicable to the low density residential zoning districts including the R0, R1, and R2 Districts. The Town hired Harriman through a competitive procurement process and recommendations by Town staff and working group members. The funding was appropriated by the 2019 Annual Town Meeting.
Through this project, Harriman will assist the community in identifying design preferences for the low density residential zoning districts including R0, R1, and R2, set forth accepted guidelines that sets expectations for the community and how those requirements are met, and develop a review process. The Design Review Working Group is advising the Department of Planning and Community Development and Harriman on this project. View Harriman's proposal.
