Registration is recommended for all Arlington residents. In the event of an emergency or an important event the Town will send these types of notifications via telephone, text, and email. Arlington Alerts include: snow emergencies/parking bans, evacuations, service interruptions, such as water main breaks, traffic, and trash collection delays, and major events in Arlington.

Since 2023 the Town has been using the Arlington Alert system to send targeted text and email reminders for loud overnight work and street sweeping reminders and is investigating similar uses to notify the public. Register to Arlington Alerts here.
