Are you 65 or over and insured through the Health Connector? Read for an Important Medicare Deadline that May Affect You!
Individuals who currently have health insurance through the Health Connector AND are 65 or over, will face a life time penalty from Medicare if they do not sign up for Medicare Part B by September 30th, 2017.

The Massachusetts “Circuit Breaker” tax credit program is a program for adults age 65 + whose property taxes and half of the water and sewer bills are more than 10% of their annual gross income (or for renters, if their rent is greater than 25% of their income) and who meet a few other rules.

The Arlington Council on Aging values the diversity of our participants, staff, volunteers, and the Arlington community. Mission StatementThe mission of the Council on Aging (COA) is to provide advocacy, support services, and programs to help Arlington elders live dignified and independent lives. The Council’s primary responsibilities are to design, promote, and implement services to address the identified needs of the community’s elder population and to coordinate existing services in the community. The COA works in concert with public and private agencies and providers in the area, and with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
Living Out Loud airs on ACMi's Public Channel on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 1:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:30 a.m.; and Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Channels: Comcast 8, RCN 3, and Verizon 31.
